Resolved Question: Which police departments should I apply for?

I'm from Houston, TX and at the moment I'm going to school in Denton, TX. I'll be graduating in December 2012 so I need to start the process of applying to police departments. I was thinking out-of-state like New York or Massachusetts. Any recommendations for those states? Also, how do you feel about Houston PD, Harris County, Lewisville PD, or Tomball PD? The process for applying isn't a big deal for me. I just want to work in a department that will keep me busy and help me gain experience until I apply for a federal agency, maybe. Thanks....
