Resolved Question: Would joining AFROTC be a good decision....at least to just try it out to see If I am still Interested?

I am already a freshman in college, but I have been interested in the armed forces for awhile. I heard that the Air Force ROTC treats you the best out of all the branches. And I heard that it guarantees a job right out of college. I would like to be an officer. I was thinking about joining sophomore year. I gotta get freshman year a good start before I decide to join. The bad thing is that my major, Environmental Science, is not an option for this. I wanna keep my major though. My major includes lots of math and science....so a little bit of everything. I know that I would have to miss 1 day a week for training and classes in Denton, TX. With my issues in math, I cannot risk failing a required class. But, for some reason, I have been fixated on the air force. What would I learn in the classes for AFROTC? And If I start Sophomore year, how will I finish my last year of AFROTC if I am committed?
